Junior Strings (ISO)
Grade 8-9 students with 1 or more years of experience (Mon/Wed 3:30-4:50pm)
This class is the middle-level orchestra at Van Tech. Students work to develop their instrumental technique on the violin, viola, cello or double bass and musical knowledge in theory and music reading with the goal to enter the Senior Orchestra by grade 10. Older, less experienced students may enroll in this group at the discretion of the director. Students in this course are invited to participate in the annual Junior Music Tour. Participation in concert performances is an expectation of this course. Concerts will take place both during the school day and outside of regular school hours.
