Vocal Jazz (Van Tech One)
Grade 10-12 students with 2 years or more in musical experience (Tues 7:30-8:30am, Fri lunch)
Vocal Jazz is an even smaller group than the Chamber Choir, being 12-20 people at most. Students will be introduced to basic jazz idiom. Vocal Jazz specializes in vocal, rhythmic, and microphone techniques used in singing jazz, contemporary, and pop music. Students in this course are invited to participate in the annual Senior Music Tour. Participation in concert performances is an expectation of this course. Concerts will take place both during the school day and outside of regular school hours.
